QUARANTINE

QUARANTINE

Unlike many other aquatic fishes and plants exporters in Thailand, Jeda Aquatics quarantines the ornamental fishes collected from the farms before they are packed for delivery via air transport. The usual quarantine period is about 72 hours to 120 hours before the shipment date. This is an important process to ensure the good health of the fishes.

The best practices are followed in our quarantine facility. The facility is sheltered to provide protection for the species and the tanks are neatly laid out in rows and connected to a good drainage system around. The team also takes good care in keeping the tanks clean at all times with regular cleaning and proper cleaning methods, including ensuring that individual nets are used for individual tanks. Once fishes have been packed and a tank has been emptied, we thoroughly disinfect the tanks before filling it up with other fishes.

We also work closely with labs whose assistance we seek during the cases of serious infections of the fishes. This helps us take the necessary precautionary and remedial measures to protect the fishes in our quarantine.
