Scavengers

Scavengers, also known as bottom feeders, are a type of fish typically kept in aquariums to help keep the water clean. These fish are well-known for consuming garbage and leftover food that would otherwise go to waste.

There are several popular scavenger fish that can be kept in small aquariums. Corydoras catfish, Bristlenose catfish, and the Siamese algae eater are all good choices for a smaller tank. These fish are known for their playful and social nature, as well as their ability to control algal growth.

It's important to note that while scavengers can be beneficial to aquarium maintenance, they should not be relied upon solely to keep the aquarium clean. Regular water changes and maintenance are still necessary to keep the aquarium healthy for all its inhabitants.
